Mother Teresa was recently revered for her work with the poor in India, has been proclaimed a saint by Pope Francis in a ceremony at the Vatican. Which is really a proud for all of Indians.
Mother Teresa Contribution To The Society:

  1. Missionaries of Charity
  2. Home for the dying
  3. Leprosy Disease
  4. Orphanage
  5. HIV/Aids

Missionaries of Charity: In her words, it would care for "the hungry, the naked, the homeless, the crippled, the blind, the lepers, all those people who feel unwanted, unloved, uncared for throughout society, people that have become a burden to the society and are shunned by everyone.

In 1950 Teresa founded the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic religious congregation which had over 4,500 sisters and was active in 133 countries in 2012. The congregation manages homes for people dying of HIV/AIDS, leprosy and tuberculosis; soup kitchens; dispensaries and mobile clinics; children's- and family-counselling programmes; orphanages, and schools. Members, who take vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience, also profess a fourth vow: to give "wholehearted free service to the poorest of the poor.

For her unwavering commitment to aiding those most in need, Mother Teresa stands out as one of the greatest humanitarians of the 20th century. She combined profound empathy and a fervent commitment to her cause with incredible organizational and managerial skills that allowed her to develop a vast and effective international organization of missionaries to help impoverished citizens all across the globe.
She saved 37 children that were stuck in a front line hospital and negotiated a temporary suspension "fight" between the Israeli army and Palestinian guerrillas. Mother Teresa went to places that were not safe such as places where wars were occurring just to take young children out of demolished hospitals. Mother Teresa was one of the most loved women of the world. Many people loved her for what she had done all over the world. What kept her happy was helping people.
