Pros and cons
Perhaps I let the fomo get me a little, I had a great offer for this printer I basically got it for the price of my other one that does a single color unfortunately I did not do much research or even give things much thought, I was under the wrong impression that this printer would have 2 hot ends, thats the bit that the melted filament flows through but this one has a single one, that has some benefits like mixing filament to get different color and material properties, as you can see right below I just set it so that the printer used half and half but you can set up your own ratio, or use a single color the one on the left was printed with the same blue as the right one but was mixed with 1/2 white, but this is not the only thing that is possible its also possible to print 2 different colors and even gradients but the issue is that in order to get a different color to flow though a single hot end, you need to purge the color and print a little block beside the model to make sure it clears one color for the other
This is of course wasteful and more time consuming and also may cause other issues I just got it and already had 2 clogs! and can't seem to get 2 separate colors to print, I will be learning and hopefully I can conquer this printer and get some quality going if only i had a few spare thousands laying around then I could get a really next level printer and not have many issues but there is no fun in that now and this is a great way to learn and grow as a maker and designer
