Accounting, tax and advisory firm Grant Thornton says it has audited over $10 billion in crypto during the first three months of 2019. The audits covered 40 different cryptocurrencies across more than 100 million addresses. Crypto analysts are trying to gauge the impact of a new investigation into the crypto exchange BitMEX. The U.S. Commodities Futures Trading Commission is probing the exchange to determine if it violated the agency’s rules by allowing Americans to trade on the derivatives platform, reports Bloomberg. The team at Binance says it has finished implementing a major security upgrade and trading is now active after a brief freeze. The crypto exchange beefed up security after hackers stole 7,000 BTC worth about $40 million on May 7. Users can deposit funds, but Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao says withdrawals won’t be enabled until some “final tests” are complete. Germany's second largest stock exchange, Boerse Stuttgart, has just added Exchange Traded Notes (ETN) based on Litecoin (LTC) and Ripple (XRP) cryptocurrency, which tracks prices in relation to the euro and Swedish krona. The exchange has been offering trade and storage crypto since February this year, available for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Ripple. Securities issued by XBT Providers in Sweden, a publisher of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and XRP Traded Product Exchanges, are listed on the Nasdaq and Nordic Market Growth in Stockholm, according to their website.

News Cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex stated that the recent allegations by the New York Attorney General (NYAG) about the exchange’s insolvency are “filled with inaccuracies and false assertions.” The exchange made the claim in a letter seen by Cointelegraph, emailed to Bitfinex users today, April 27.
