THE GOLD IN ME

Like the precious gold
So it was when my life began
So it is now that I am a man
So be it when I grow old
My value, doesn’t decrease
based on my disabilities.
So it is my worth.

Like the valuable gold
Gleaming, gilding the light
With innate sense of my worth
So be it till the day my eyes close
Unmalleable, even when melted
It's still gold
So it Is my worth.

Like an elusive salamander
Making my way through guards
Breaking through barriers of stones
With much ease than the lightening bolt
Intrepid, for real gold is never afraid of the melting pot
So it is my worth.
