Dragonereum Helium
We launched Dragonereum on 28-29 of November 2018, almost 1 year ago. The Genesis was a success - 10k EGGs. 553 EGSs and 2638 DRAGONs has been born as result of experience gained in more than 25k battles! Now
7915 eggs are waiting its hour. And 60M of GOLD exist in the universe. Given current price of GOLD in Uniswap the cap is about 320 ETH or $57k. I think we got award in the lowest organic cap nomination.
Although this numbers are significantly less than we expected they are a tiny proof that the game is works and alive. I acknowledge that we got 3 big game design mistakes at launch:
First. We modelled 10x more players at launch. Because of that our models assumed wrong key economic mechanics for boosting feedback loops such as amount of DRAGONs for GOLD burning start and for reduction of battle profits. Key economic mechanics was started at 10k DRAGONs. This protocol upgrade enables these mechanics at 3k DRAGONs.
Second. One aspect was also not obvious: very high expected return in crypto. Current design were done based on conventional game mechanics which didn't count real economic value. What I mean? Difference in guaranteed expected GOLD return of mining in battles. Starts from 200 GOLD per win, ends at 25 GOLD. 8x which is low expected return. If Moors law will work for gas prices this wont allow to sustain the economy in ETH. So we implemented Satoshi style bonding curve. Meet the names of new Dragonereum Eons:
< 3000 DRAGONs: 200 coins - Hydrogen Eon
> 3000 DRAGONs: 100 coins - Helium Eon
> 6000 DRAGONs: 50 coins - Carbon Eon
> 9000 DRAGONs: 25 coins - Oxygen Eon
> 12000 DRAGONs: 12.5 coins - Silicon Eon
> 15000 DRAGONs: 6.25 coins - Titanium Eon
> 18000 DRAGONs: 3.125 coins - Silver Eon
> 21000 DRAGONs: 1.5625 coins - Gold Eon
Third. Leaderboard rewards. Current design (1) doesn't count how many GOLD is in Treasure left and also (2) doesn't aligned with the cost of mining in battles. This flaw brake key economics design: auto-balancing of breeding and battling. Although the Treasure emitted ~5M of GOLD in battles leaderboard participants got almost ~8M. The new upgrade of protocol fixes this. Legend says that this was a feature of Hydrogen eon and allowed to boost DRAGONs population. Closer to Helium eon leaderboard payouts will be significantly less in order to stabilize cybernomics of the universe.
Please keep in mind that all of this were almost impossible to predict ahead of launch. Dragonereum is amazing experiment. Everything was done, was done first time and still Dragonereum do not have analogs in the whole crypto multiverse. So we are now 2 steps ahead.
