Another place to go to Bruntál (Czech Republic) for a walk is the castle park. It originated in the 16th century. In the mid-17th century the Order of German Knights established a regular garden. At the front of the bruntal castle, the original Baroque style of the garden has been preserved, which was made by architect G.J. Heuberisser at the initiative of Evzen Habsburg. The remaining area is designed as a naturally landscaped park in English style.
With a size of 2.5 hectares, the park is not too large, but there are several attractions to be found here.
Remains of city walls with round bastion
Statues from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries (predominantly sandstone)
Sala terrena (now under reconstruction)
