LIAR

Once upon a time
I loved a liar
I poured out my heart
But she fed me with lies
And the tricks up her sleeves.

Her voice forever subtle
Her eyes always convincing
She looked like an angel
But her heart was pure evil.

She cost me my heart
And my ability to love.
She ruined my existence
And the life I once had.

She was more than a liar
She was a murder of trust
A master of deceit
And the ripper of hearts.

Her smile was so charming
Her beauty so engulfing
But the beauty and the smile
Were her masks of deception.

Love not a liar
Or be doomed like I was.
Look beyond beauty
For the true colours beneath.
