Cartesi - one of the best projects at the moment

Introduction

It turns out, our society is developing not only intellectually, but also technologically. From year to year we can see dozens of new innovative projects and products aimed at maintaining and improving the quality of life as a particular object or subject, and the entire community and environment around us.

That of course pleases me as a socially active user, and all of my family and friends. However, what is impossible or not available, now has the opportunity to exist, acting as our daily routine.

About the Project

Blockchain technology allows you to combine in a transparent, irreversible and secure structure for all transactions and related data.

Blockchain was originally designed to reach consensus through full redundancy, replicate storage and re-run calculations on all nodes in their network. As we can expect from the theory (and in fact verify it in practice!), This results in an unstable environment. Real-world calculations and massive data on the blockchain are impractical or even impossible.

Cartesi includes blockchain security and economics, while enabling real-world (and intensive! Computational tasks! Think of lots of data). With Cartesi, there is no need to rely on central authority, trusted third parties, or on the reputation system, which is often vulnerable to Sybil attacks.

In terms of application, Cartesi is only limited by the imagination of the developer. We believe that Cartesi has the true potential to revolutionize the blockchain by laying the foundation for a new generation of decentralized applications and services.

• Cartesi captures the essence of Layer-2 scalability solutions. Smart contracts can make heavy off-chain appointments and resolve in-chain disputes.
• Trustless supercomputer that uses unlimited idle computer power. Millions of computers sit idle and not used when they can benefit science and society.
• Unreliable market for AI and computing tasks. With the strength of Cartesi’s decentralized automatic verification, developers will be able to create services that allow new DApps to outsource and distribute work. This also includes for machine learning, data analysis, or computationally intensive tasks that require experts in their fields.

Our MVP is a state of the art deterministic VM. It enables smart-contracts to specify complex computations that run off-chain on a Linux OS in a reproducible way.

Verifiability

The complete Cartesi Core allows these complex computations to be adjudicated for correctness on the blockchain, at negligible cost, in a safe and decentralized way.

Infrastructure

Cartesi will publish and maintain an open source SDK for the world to use. Create your own decentralized applications
without knowledge of blockchain languages and deploy them to the growing network of Cartesi Nodes.
