The Cercis Siliquastrum, commonly known as "Judas tree", is native to the eastern Mediterranean and blooms in my City Cagliari (Italy) in this period.
The Judas tree can become up to 10 meters and it is very special for its beautiful flowering characterized by many small flowers in pink, almost purple ..



Its common name comes from the legend according to which Giuda Iscariota, after betraying Jesus Christ, hanged himself on this tree ...
In fact, this tree blooms just at Easter ..
Some very beautiful specimens of this tree can also be admired in several important archaeological areas such as, for example, the Palatine Hill in Rome where these trees explode with all their color in the midst of archaeological structures. The show is much appreciated ..





Small pink flowers that sprout from the branches of the womb and then leave room for the leaves of the womb.
