City over Byala - "Białystok Half Marathon"

The "Białystok Half Marathon" became for me the third Polish half marathon on the way to winning the "Crown of the Polish Half Marathons". This time I hesitated for a long time whether to participate in it. The reason for my hesitation is the "Volkswagen Maraton Praha", which I considered as my first marathon. But since he takes part in the Crown of the Visegrad Marathons, he had to postpone his participation in this series of marathons and pay attention to the "Białystok Half Marathon".

Registration
Register for the Bialystok Half Marathon, possibly on the official website. During centralization, you also need to choose a T-shirt and about an hour to maintain distance.

Road
To get to the place where the half marathon took place, I had to shake my head. Since there is only one bus to Kiev, which, in truth, I did not fit. So it was decided to get to Warsaw by bus first, and from there by train to Białystok. The train was very convenient, and the road took only two hours.

Traditionally, the first thing I did was see the launch pad and get the start number for the half marathon. The starting city was located in the central part of the city on the palace complex "Podlaski Versailles", in the last palace of Branicki. On the way to the starting town, he strolled a bit and admired the local streets and architecture.

SportExpo is located next to the launch pad, which, in my opinion, was unsuccessful this time. It is possible that such an impression was caused by a small size compared to similar exhibitions in Poznan and Gdynia. Only one race was presented at SportExpo, and there were few sporting goods. So this time, without stopping, he immediately went for his starter pack.

I decided to compensate for the disadvantages of SportExpo at a local bookstore. Having recently read the book of Polish runner Robert Zakrevski "Ultra. Dobiegniesz dalej niż myślisz", I really wanted to buy something to read about sports. Then went in the direction of the hotel.

Run
The start of the race was to start at 10 o'clock near the palace complex of Podlasie Versailles. Race is one lap that runs through the central streets and outskirts of the city. The main part of the route - asphalt, and in only one place was a small pavement area. Participants of the half marathon were divided into groups according to the specified time at registration.

I started in 3 groups of participants with a time of 1:45:00 - 1:54:59. The half marathon started fairly easily and comfortably due to the cloudy weather. This time I was running a number of pacemakers, and during the first half of the race I tried to hold on to them.

Only having overcome 12-13 km, he began to fall behind them. To keep my tone, I did not miss the hydration points. Maintaining the race track itself was enjoyable throughout the marathon. But most of the support was given to the participants of the half marathon a few kilometers from the finish line. It added passion and did not allow to relax, but still came to the finished sign with the inscription "Finish".

Impression
The half marathon in Bialystok presented positive emotions and left a pleasant impression in memory. And I myself showed quite a good result - 1 hour 50 minutes, even when registering I guessed my time. For 5 months of running, this is already my 4th half marathon in Poland, so to be honest, they all look alike.
