Virtual races that will allow you to travel
Because of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), all jogging events that were supposed to take place in March, April, and in some countries and in May, were abolished or postponed. So in this situation, which has now arisen because of quarantine and the prohibition of large crowds of people, I was interested in a rather interesting format of races, namely virtual races.
What is a virtual or online race? Virtual races have been devised for those runners who do not have the opportunity to compete in other cities or countries. This is a real run (or several jogs) that you can do anywhere, anytime! All you have to do is select a distance and sign up. After registration, you will receive your starting number. At the end of each race or Challenge, a certain amount of time is given - a week, a month or so. You can choose any day and time you like (during the dates allotted for this event), and run (on the street or on the treadmill), walk (Scandinavian walking), or even swim your chosen distance!
On the Internet, you can find quite a lot of virtual races, but a lot of them are quite primitive, as for me. But because travel is now terminated, I wanted to find such virtual races that, although virtual, would transport me to interesting locations. Still, we have found such projects and here they are:
